Positive Thinking.
Now this may surprise you coming from me. Positive thinking is not enough.
Let me explain a little more.
Positive thinking is a great help.
You will feel better.
After all how you think affects how you feel.
Now here comes the catch.
Let me share this little story.
Tom has a nice garden.
Tom is a busy person and loves his garden. To be accurate Tom likes a nice lawn. He leaves the real gardening to his wife Sue.
Now just imagine Tom arriving home after a busy day. He has positive thoughts about cutting his beloved grass.
How long do you think it would take Tom to cut the grass?
Maybe twenty minutes?
Maybe thirty minutes?
The answer is that Tom never cut the grass.
Yes he had the positive thought. However he never put the positive thought into action.
Positive thoughts are not enough.
Some actions have to take place.
Now let us review the story.
Tom is a busy person and loves his garden. To be accurate Tom likes a nice lawn. He leaves the real gardening to his wife Sue.
Now just imagine Tom arriving home after a busy day. He has positive thoughts about cutting his beloved grass.
After an enjoyable cup of tea and a chat with Sue he makes his way to the garden shed.
Tom gets out the mower and cuts the lawn (he likes stripes).
In just under twenty minutes the job is done.
Tom feels good. He took that positive thought into action.
Now the grass looks good and guess what......Tom even feels better on completing the job.
Taking small simple actions make a real difference.
Enjoy those positive thoughts. Follow the thoughts with simple actions linked to the thought and notice the positive difference it makes.
